While we aren’t there yet, the accelerated pace at which automakers and tech companies are introducing vehicle prototypes and automated drive features has left some stakeholders behind. On one hand there’s excitement. On the other hand there’s concern.
Nissan addressed both this month when it hosted a forum that explored the future of autonomous vehicles. The event, held in Washington, D.C., gave lawmakers, regulators and other U.S. government officials a close and reassuring look at how Nissan is in the driver’s seat when it comes to automated drive technologies.

Nissan Altima named 2017 Strategic Vision Total Quality Impact (TQI) winner in Mid-size Car segment
Nissan today announced that the 2017 Altima has been named the top scoring mid-size car in the Strategic Vision Total Quality Impact (TQI) Awards. The 2017 Altima had a total evaluation score of 606 out of a possible 1,000 – more than 60 points above the segment average.
Strategic Vision’s 23rd annual Total Quality Impact (TQI) report is based on results from the New Vehicle Experience Study® (NVES) surveying over 42,000 Jul.-Dec. new vehicle buyers after the first 90 days of ownership. The TQI rating system allows owners to fully reflect their experiences with their vehicles, including tangible aspects such as acceleration and visibility, intangible aspects such as vehicle image, emotional aspects and involvement, as well as a comprehensive survey of the number and severity of the vehicle problems reported.

Nissan announces U.S. pricing for 2018 370Z Coupe
Nissan today announced U.S. pricing for the 2018 370Z Coupe, 370Z NISMO and 370Z Roadster, which are on sale now at Nissan dealers nationwide. The starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs)1 for the entry-level 370Z Coupe and 370Z Roadster remain unchanged from 2017 – $29,990 and $41,820 respectively. The iconic Nissan Z® is offered in a selection of eight 370Z Coupe models, two 370Z NISMO models and four 370Z Roadster models.
