The 2019 Altima goes on sale in the U.S. in the fall, followed by other global markets at later dates.

Big news in the Nissan motorsports world: Nissan/Datsun has been selected as the featured marque for the Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) Speedfest vintage races at the upcoming Classic Motorsports Mitty vintage festival, where legendary Datsun/Nissan race driver John Morton will serve as the grand marshal.

Now in its 41st year, the Mitty festival – the longest-running vintage and historic race in the U.S. – returns to the celebrated Road Atlanta road course the weekend of April 26-29.

For some women, the dream of driving may be blocked by a series of obstacles. Fear of making a mistake, lack of resources and support, or no time when pursuing a career could all prevent someone from getting behind the wheel. At Nissan’s Industrial Complex in Resende, Brazil, employees Ana Beatriz Correa, Camila Josué, Letícia Menezes and Michele de Souza help produce cars every day – even though they had never driven one.

To honor International Women’s Day, Nissan invited employees at the Resende factory to talk about their dream of driving. A few women were selected for a special driving class with Helena Deyama, a legendary rally driver from Brazil.

The acceleration of electrification was the key theme at the Nissan stand during this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Taking center stage was the world premiere of the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship race car, seen in its concept livery for the first time. The car will make its city circuit debut at the start of the 2018/19 season later this year.

Nissan electric vehicle ambassador Margot Robbie today revealed during her first ever Facebook livestream that Nissan will premiere its new Formula E electric concept livery at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.

In another first, the cameras, lights and equipment used to broadcast the live appearance were powered by the new Nissan LEAF battery.

Nissan announced last October that it will enter the fast-growing Formula E series in the 2018/19 season. The all-electric series gives Nissan a highly visible global platform from which to spread the message of Nissan Intelligent Mobility – the three-pillar strategy to redefine how its vehicles are driven, powered and integrated into society.
