The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) latest ratings for front crash prevention systems in midsize sedans ranked model year 2019 and 2020 Nissan Maxima as ‘superior’ and model year 2019 and 2020 Nissan Altima as ‘advanced.’

Nissan believes meaningful technology should not be limited to luxury models and is working diligently to offer features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection across its lineup.

“The well-being of those inside our cars is just as important as the well-being of those outside our vehicles,” said Rob Warren, director, and chief marketing manager, Nissan North America. “AEB with Pedestrian Detection is announced as standard or available on 10 Nissan vehicles for the 2020 model year, and we’re working on expanding the technology further as quickly as possible.”

Nissan today revealed a high-power, twin-motor all- wheel-control test car equipped with new technologies being developed for the company’s next generation of EVs.

The vehicle, based on the 100% electric Nissan LEAF e+, features an enhanced all-wheel drive system powered by front and rear high-power motors integrated with Nissan- developed chassis control technology. The result is an electric-drive all-wheel-control system that will take the performance of Nissan’s electric cars to a new level.

“Soon, Nissan will launch a next-generation EV that will be a true breakthrough,” said Takao Asami, senior vice president for research and advanced engineering at Nissan. “The new electric-drive four-wheel-control technology now being developed integrates Nissan’s electric propulsion and 4WD control technologies with our chassis control technology to achieve a huge leap in acceleration, cornering and braking performance, on par with the latest sports cars.”

Following the successful launch of the redesigned 2020 Nissan TITAN full-size pickup, the powerful 2020 TITAN XD takes its turn in the spotlight with a full slate of upgrades and enhancements for the new model year. The new TITAN XD shares many of the new features and technologies with the half-ton TITAN, but is built on a unique reinforced, fully boxed, full-length ladder frame – with sturdy braking provided by a 4-wheel disc system featuring substantial rear ventilated discs with hydraulic power assist.

The new 2020 TITAN XD offers confident towing and hauling usually provided by larger, more-expensive heavy-duty trucks, while still providing the comfort and nimbleness of a light-duty pickup. TITAN XD offers higher maximum towing and payload capacities than TITAN, reflecting the fact that towing capability traditionally ranks at the top of TITAN XD buyers’ purchase considerations.

For 2020, the TITAN XD lineup is simplified to a Crew Cab body with a 6.5-foot bed and 4-wheel drive – helping to focus on the heart of the TITAN XD market. Key enhancements for the new TITAN XD include additional standard horsepower and torque, unique exterior and interior styling of the SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve trims, advanced connectivity technology and features, and standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems – on all grade levels.

The 2020 Nissan TITAN XD continues to be covered by America’s Best Truck Warranty2 – with 5-year/100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage.

How Often Should I Get An Oil Change?
The amount of time that should pass in between oil changes depends on your car’s manufacturer. We advise car owners to read their owner’s manual to determine the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule. If you have a brand new vehicle, you may not have to receive an oil change as often as a used vehicle with an old engine. However, if you drive on dirt roads, carry large loads in your car or drive at high speeds, you could find yourself in need of frequent oil changes.
