How can you program your Nissan Intelligent Key Fob?
Your vehicle can only be driven with the Intelligent Keys which are registered to your vehicle’s Intelligent Key system components and NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System components.
As many as four Intelligent Keys can be registered and used with one vehicle. The new keys must be registered prior to use with the Intelligent Key system and NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System of your vehicle. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service. Since the registration process requires erasing all memory in the Intelligent Key components when registering new keys, be sure to take all Intelligent Keys that you have to the NISSAN dealer.
A key number plate is supplied with your keys. Record the key number and keep it in a safe place (such as your wallet), not in the vehicle. If you lose your keys, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for duplicates by using the key number. NISSAN does not record key numbers so it is very important to keep track of your key number plate.
A key number is only necessary when you have lost all keys and do not have one to duplicate from. If you still have a key, it can be duplicated without knowing the key number.
After weeks in quarantine, U.S residents are venturing out as stay-at-home restrictions loosen. While U.S. drivers get reacquainted with the road, Nissan encourages them to utilize their vehicle’s advanced safety features.
Many of Nissan’s intelligent technologies are designed to help drivers operate more safely on roads and highways.
“Nissan has integrated intelligent driver-assist technologies such as Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Warning, High Beam Assist, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ and Traffic Sign Recognition that can help drivers avoid common mistakes and improve road safety,” said Chris Reed, senior vice president, Research and Development, Nissan Technical Center North America. “You use a lot of reflex memory when you operate a vehicle so if you have been off the roads for a while, now is a good time to understand how these features can truly improve the overall driving experience.”

Within the new world of mass-market electric vehicles, a frontier that Nissan pioneered with the Nissan LEAF a decade ago, there has been a growing trend to focus on pure performance. The combination of an electric motor and battery pack provides levels of acceleration and torque once reserved for supercars or bullet trains. While the exhilaration is undeniable, Nissan is taking a balanced, customer-centric approach – beyond mere speed – with its latest electric powertrain technology.

Nissan is offering tips on how to disinfect your vehicle as we aim to stop the spread of COVID-19. Frequent hand washing as directed by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a crucial part of staying healthy, but so is disinfecting surfaces, including those in your car.
“Most people are still using their vehicles, whether they are essential employees commuting to work or someone running to the grocery store while in quarantine,” said Ryan Fulkerson, director, New Model Engineering, Nissan North America. “We want to make sure they’re informed on how to best keep their vehicle disinfected.”
The CDC recommends wearing disposable gloves for cleaning and then disinfecting surfaces. If a surface appears dirty, it should be wiped down with soap and water prior to disinfection. For vehicle interiors, a soft or microfiber cloth dampened with soap and water can be used to wipe down hard surfaces.
