What’s New – Summer 2020
Though the nation and auto industry has experienced difficult times due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Nissan is moving full-speed ahead with a full slate of exciting new models.
Continuing the momentum from 2020’s introductions of the new TITAN and all-new Versa and Sentra, Nissan has recently released information and photography on the all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue compact SUV, which is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide this fall. Coming in August will be the arrival of 2021 models of the flagship Nissan GT-R and full-size TITAN and TITAN XD pickups. And watch for the upcoming 2021 Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition, just one of many reasons to celebrate the new model year at Nissan. Please stay tuned.
Nissan Rear Door Alert now available on 12 models, including the affordable Versa, Sentra and Kicks
Nissan continues to demonstrate commitment to bringing important technologies to all by now offering its clever, yet simple, Rear Door Alert (RDA)1 technology on 12 models. This is tech that potentially can help reduce risks posed by dangerous interior car temperatures.
For model year 2020, RDA is standard on the Nissan Altima, Armada, Kicks (SV and SR), LEAF, Murano, Maxima, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, TITAN (King Cab and Crew Cab) and Versa (SV and SR).
Introduced with the 2018 Pathfinder SUV, Nissan’s RDA technology was developed by a pair of Nissan engineers, who are also mothers, inspired by Nissan’s “culture of innovation.” RDA was the industry’s first system to use the horn, in addition to door sensors and a message display on the center instrument panel, to remind drivers to check the back seat after the vehicle is parked.
Nissan remains committed to bringing its RDA technology to all four-door trucks, sedans and SUVs by 2022.

In fact, 71 percent of Americans are more comfortable traveling by car than by air, according to a recent omnibus survey conducted by Nissan1. This percentage climbs to 85 percent for those age 65 and older.
Nearly half the survey respondents are also now more likely to take a vacation with a recreational vehicle, and one-third are now more likely to spend money on an RV or boat.
“As we emerge as a nation from the stay at home orders, it is clear that Americans want to get back outdoors,” said Craig Kirby, RV Industry Association president. “We are seeing more and more people turn to RVs as a way to continue to enjoy their summer vacations, while also adhering to social distancing, which will likely be around in some form for the foreseeable future.”

Both Trucks come equipped with a rugged leaf spring suspension with a high capacity rear axle and commercial differential. But the 2020 Nissan TITAN XD frame is larger and extensively reinforced for added strength and stiffness, which helps resist vertical and lateral bending and increases torsional rigidity. When Nissan began designing the 2021 Rogue, its best-selling model in the industry’s largest segment, the company focused on delivering functionality, flexibility, technology and safety aimed at simply making life easier.
The all-new Rogue crossover is the first of five new or redesigned Nissan models that will enter production in the next year. It follows Altima, Versa, Sentra and TITAN, which were all recently redesigned.
