Stretching the Nissan LEAF

Most people have taken a ride in a limo once or twice in their life. Usually, these luxurious rides are reserved for special occasions, such as proms, weddings, concerts, and premier events. Often times, we here at Passport Nissan think of them as being long, somewhat aggressive looking, and, of course, inefficient (especially the stretch SUV).

However, as it turns out, Imperial Coach Builders, a custom-coach-building subsidiary of Electric Car Company, is preparing to overhaul the way that we look at limousines. How are they planning to do that? By converting the increasingly-popular Nissan LEAF into a stretch limo!

Everyone here at 150 S Pickett Street Alexandria, VA 22304 was shocked to hear this, but also intrigued at the prospect of what this could mean for the limo industry as a whole. "This will be the first conversion of this revolutionary vehicle and the first pure electric limousine,"1 claims Gary Spaniak, President, Electric Car Company.

Given the unconventional nature of this new breed of limousine, we are wondering what sort of seating arrangement Imperial Coach Builders will go with. While we think that they could certainly think outside the box in terms of the vehicle's interior, we wouldn't be disappointed if they simply decided to stick with the conventional limo interior.

What we do know about the LEAF's V.I.P. debut, however, is that it is expected to be stretched big time. In fact, the LEAF is expected to gain close to 50 inches (more than four feet) of additional length, for a total of 225 inches. We, of course, are left to wonder what sort of affect this could have on the LEAF's driving range with all of that added weight. We're sure that the people at Imperial Coach Builders have thought that though.

Still, you can come to your own conclusions on the Nissan LEAF limo by coming down to 150 S Pickett Street Alexandria, VA 22304 to take the original LEAF for a test drive.
