Nissan Proves That Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

We here at Passport Nissan never mind having to wait for something that we really want, which is why news of a delay to the redesigned Nissan Titan hasn't bothered us as much as one might think. The full-size pickup from Nissan is well-deisnged, powerful, and versatile in its present form, and we simply can't wait to see what the next generation brings to the table. However, we also know that 2011 has been a rough year for Japanese automakers in general, which is a big reason behind the delay of the redesigned Titan.

Now it's looking like 2014 is the magic date for the Titan, and the people at Nissan are hard at work to make it happen. This placement as a 2014 model likely means that we'll see the redesigned Titan on dealership lots in late 2013, as the end of the year is typically when new models start rolling in.

"[The Nisan Titan] will come out a little later now," said Nissan executive VP for vehicle planning and program management Andy Palmer at the Los Angeles Auto Show. "I made the decision."1 There was no specific details given regarding the decision to hold back the Titan redesign. Though we know that the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March played a large role, we don't know what specific resources were out of place because of it.

Either way, we look forward to seeing the full redesign when it's finished. For now, however, you can check out the current Nissan Titan, or any other new Nissan, at 150 S Pickett Street Alexandria, VA 22304. Test drives can easily be arranged on models like the Nissan Altima, Murano, and JUKE by contacting us online or by phone at (888) 497-3334, and we're always happy to help.
